The all-new Mitre 10 MEGA Whanganui All Ability Athletics Day was held at Cooks Gardens on Friday 14 March with the support of Halberg Foundation, Special Olympics, Whanganui Regional Health Network and Ngā Tai o te Awa.

“We have put the call out to anyone who has an interest in the disability sector to be involved in a group aimed at sharing the voice of disabled people in Whanganui.”

Two young athletes will wear the Whanganui black and blue with pride this weekend when they attend the national Halberg Games at Kings College, Auckland.

Sport Ability Days are inclusive events for tamariki and rangatahi who have varying needs to connect, be physically active, and try something new in a fun and safe environment.
