Managers:
Team Whanganui did us proud at the recent Halberg Games!
A huge shoutout to our superstar athletes — Natalie, Vivienne, Isabel, Theo & Georgia — who gave it their all across 20+ sports over three action-packed days.
It was fantastic to have two athletes who have attended the Games in previous years and three who were attending for their first time.
Georgia’s Mum Erin said they had an amazing experience at their first Games: “I was quite hesitant at first registering Georgia but once we were immersed in the atmosphere all my reservations and anxiety faded. It’s unbelievable how supported we felt! We loved the Halberg Games and hope to be part of this fantastic event in the future.”
Sport Whanganui’s Diversity & Inclusion Lead Sarah Craig secured funding to help our participants attend and travelled up to Auckland to support the team over a very fun and full on three days. A big thank you to the Halberg Foundation for putting on another awesome event, and to the whānau and supporters who were there every step of the way.
And a special mihi to Pub Charity – your support helped our tamariki and rangatahi shine on this epic stage.
