Managers:
Nau mai haere mai ki Sport Whanganui
Sport Whanganui champions fresh ideas and collaborative thinking to create an active, healthy and connected community for everyone.EVENTS:
Igniting the Future – Everybody Active
Let’s work together to make sport, active recreation and play inclusive and fun for everyone. Sport Whanganui can kickstart fresh thinking into reality through funding streams for community organisations too.
Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini – Our strength does not come from ourselves alone, our strength derives from the many.

Positive Change Programmes
Sport Whanganui is proud to be part of Sport New Zealand’s nationwide initiatives to make positive change in our communities. Check out how you, your organisation, or whānau can play a part in building a brighter future.
Active Wellbeing – Altogether Well
Sometimes our wellbeing can be a barrier to living active and getting the best out of life. That’s where Sport Whanganui’s Active Wellbeing team comes in, helping people on the path to positive wellbeing. We support individuals and families to explore what health and wellbeing changes are important to them, then work with them to plan and realise solutions for change.
Mauri tū mauri ora – An active soul is a healthy soul
