Te Wiki Hauora Tane – Men’s Health Week aims to help you get right on top of your biggest and most important asset – your health.
Sport Whanganui supports MHW with the aim of encouraging men to think a little more and know a little more about their health. These FREE activities are on offer through Sport Whanganui during Mens Health Week:
Wednesday 14 June – Adult Learn to Swim, 6.45pm-7.30pm, Splash Centre Springvale Park, Whanganui
Thursday 15 June – Boxing Class, 12.30pm midday -2pm, RiverCity Boxing Gym Club, Devon Road, Whanganui
Sunday 18 June – Gumboot Sunday, in partnership with Ngā Tai o Te Awa, 10am – 1pm, Tawhero Golf Course, 24 York Street Gonville
Sport Whanganui and Ngā Tai o Te Awa are excited to welcome men of all ages and whanau to Gumboot Sunday which will be a chance to chat to mates and health professionals in a relaxed environment. On offer will be free health checks by the Sport Whanganui Active Wellbeing team, Gumboot Golf, free haircuts, kai and spot prizes.
