Managers:
Nau mai haere mai ki Sport Whanganui
Sport Whanganui champions fresh ideas and collaborative thinking to create an active, healthy and connected community for everyone.EVENTS:
Igniting the Future – Everybody Active
The Sport Whanganui team work closely with councils, sports clubs, community groups and education providers to activate tamariki and rangatahi, and provide sport, play and recreation opportunities for our communities.
Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini – Our strength does not come from ourselves alone, our strength derives from the many.

Positive Change Programmes
Sport Whanganui is proud to partner with organisations across Aotearoa making positive change in our communities. Check out some of the initiatives we can support you, your club, school or whānau with.
Active Wellbeing – Altogether Well
Sometimes our wellbeing can be a barrier to living active and getting the best out of life. That’s where Sport Whanganui’s Active Wellbeing team comes in, helping people on the path to positive wellbeing. We support individuals and families to explore what health and wellbeing changes are important to them, then work with them to plan and realise solutions for change.
Mauri tū mauri ora – An active soul is a healthy soul
