Hooray for loose parts play!

A very big thank you to Mitre 10 MEGA Wanganui for generously making and donating two storage boxes to St Marys School and Keith Street School, to store their loose parts play equipment.

Last year we started working with local schools in the Healthy Active Learning (HAL) programme to offer a loose parts play trial, allowing students to turn tyres, tubes, boards and tarps into fun and creative tools for imaginative and social play.

Now in 10 schools across the region, the initiative continues to grow with the generous support of the community donating items that would have otherwise gone to landfill – wins all around!
