Vanessa is of Ngāti Tuwharetoa, Whakatōhea, English and Scottish descent and has been based in Whanganui as a practising artist, Māori printmaker, mother, wife, educator and arts advocate for over 20 years. Edwards sees herself as a creator of opportunities, a connector and activator of space through the awesome power of toi – art.
