Big Morning Run for Mental Health Awareness Week

Mark your calendars for the Big Morning Run for Mental Health Awareness Week, Wednesday 25 September.

The idea is simple – clubs and groups of friends all over New Zealand will hit the pavement together, chasing the sunrise and celebrating the benefits of running and human connection.

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme is “community is… what we create together” and Whānau Wednesday celebrates how feeling connected to others boosts your well-being. It couldn’t be a more appropriate day for Aotearoa’s run clubs, especially when you consider how running boosts your physical and mental health. Night owls are also catered for, with some clubs putting on evening runs. Last year was a great success – let’s get out there and make this year even better!
