La Fiesta – NZ’s Best Women’s Fest is back in 2024! From 10 February to 10 March explore art, music and dance, workshops, educational talks and lectures, meditation, movement, yoga and a whole heap of fun.

Ladies Fun Introduction to Golf

Date/time: Friday 16 February and Friday 23rd February @ 5.30pm

Venue: Rivercity/Tawhero Golf Course, 24 York Street

Cost: $20 per person per session

This will be a fun, games based introduction to Golf, bringing women together for learning, laughter and camaraderie. There will be drinks and nibbles available for purchase after the session. Equipment provided.

Women’s Self Defence Class

Date/Time: Sunday February 18th @ 3pm

Venue: Ladies Rest Building, 75 St Hill Street

Cost: $20 per person (to be donated to Whanganui Women’s Network)

A Practical class for Ages 13+ to help boost your confidence and feelings of personal strength and safety. Wear comfortable clothing.

Women Who Lead – A Couch Conversation with Megan Compain

80’s Aerobics

Introduction to Surfing and Beach BBQ

Venue: Morgan Street entrance to Castlecliff Beach

Cost: $10 option to join Whanganui Boardriders Club.

Introduction to Surfing: observations before entering the water, surf etiquette, all things surf related. A chance to surf with assistance from local crew. BYO togs/wetsuit.
