Secondary School

What we do

Sport Whanganui is working closely with targeted secondary schools and their communities to provide opportunities that support the learning and development of their students. The opportunities are designed to support parents, teachers, students, coaches and the wider school community to develop the confidence, knowledge and understanding required to create quality and inclusive experiences for young people and their communities to lead healthy and physically active lives.

Balance is Better

Balance is Better is a nationwide initiative designed to encourage participation in youth sport by creating positive sport experiences.  The key to making positive change is listening to our rangatahi to better understand what ingredients build a better sport experience.
