Shoes are optional but recommended and bare feet will be at the risk of the individual. We strongly encourage participants to bring a spare change of clothes and a towel.\nSun Smart\nAside from the grandstands, there is limited shade at Cooks Gardens. It is important to ensure all students are wearing appropriate sun hats and sunscreen. There will be sunblock stations around the venue to be used.\nWhānau Race\nAt the conclusion of the event, there will be an opportunity for parents, teachers & other supporting adults to run through the course. This is a great chance for spectators to have a go and see how tough the course really is. Anyone wanting to participate, must sign a waiver at the Sport Whanganui marquee.\n
