DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re an experienced Youth Cyclist or keen to have a crack at Road Cycling for the first time this series is a great opportunity to learn new skills, challenge yourself and have fun!\nREGISTER ONLINE HERE ( https://wanganuicycling.club/event/youthroadterm32024/?instance_id=2331 )\n\nWho can take part?\n\nYouth under the age of 19 years. Age Grades U19, U17, U15 & U13.\nYou’ll need to be confident riding on the road, know your road rules and be able to ride at least 8km non-stop.\n\nWhat do I need to take part?\n\nAll you need is a great attitude!\nYou don’t need a road bike to take part, starting on your own bike is a great idea.  We have a small fleet of club road bikes available.\n\nHow does it work?\n\nGraded Road Race Series starting opposite the Whanganui River Holiday Park on Wednesdays after School\nWe’ll race out and back along Papaiti Road\nThere will be a long course (max 20km) & short course (max 8km) options\nVaried races to develop your skills and challenge you!\nThis term features the Whanganui Schools Road Cycling Champs – stay tuned for further details\n\n\nTerm Three Dates:\n\nWednesday July 24\nWednesday July 31\nWednesday August 7\nWednesday August 14\nWednesday August 21\nWednesday August 28\nWednesday September 4\nWednesday September 11 – Whanganui Schools TT Champs\nWednesday September 18 – Whanganui Schools RR Champs\nWednesday September 25\n\nEvent Schedule\n3.45pm: Registration Opens (You’ll need an adult to sign an event waiver if you haven’t registered online)\n4.00pm: Registration Closes\n4.00pm: Compulsory Race briefing\nRacing Starts as soon as the briefing is complete\nPost event snack and banter provided. We’ll be done and dusted by 5pm!\nEntry Fees\n$5 per night\nPlease bring cash on the day or pay into the club bank account using your Surname and “youth” as reference\nWanganui Cycling Club\n03 0791 0554164 01\nOther Key Stuff\n\n\nYou only need to register once for the series. It saves heaps of time on the day if you can register online below.\nClub Hire bikes are available to use for the term.  The cost is $20.
